Sophia's Kitchen personnel will change, but not its mission

PEORIA—Nearly 10,000 people a month depend on Sophia’s Kitchen for food for themselves or their pets.

While that provision won’t change, the person at the helm will. Director Claire Crone is retiring July 31 after 16 years of leadership at the ministry’s location at 105 N. Richard Pryor Place.

Women’s Community House exhibits grace, stable lives

MORTON—Pathway Ministries’ Women’s Community House is empowering its residents to rebuild their lives. One resident at the house that opened in summer 2025 has regained custody of her children. Currently, five women reside there, and more are expected. Pathway's goals are being realized.
