About Amen Peoria

Purpose

To inform members of the Body of Christ in the Tri-County area on the efforts of churches, ministries, and individuals so they may better live out the Gospel.

Mission

To establish a communications network among Tri-County Christians through reporting, curating, and connecting.

Personnel

Editor Michael Miller is a professional journalist with over 40 years of experience, including 16 years as religion editor at the Peoria Journal Star. He is the author of Sharing the Burden: The Samaritan Ministries Story. His work has been featured in Peoria Magazine. He also has performed freelance editing for International Christian Concern.

Staff writer Kathryn Nielson has been writing, in all its various forms, since she was a kid. Whether articles for small-town newspapers, blogging, a children’s book, or telling other people’s stories, writing has been a part of her life for over 40 years. 

After taking the time to raise her children, staff writer Yvonne Wendt has returned to her love of writing. She has written for newspapers in the Chicago area and Peoria. Yvonne desires to craft compelling stories that captivate and inspire her readers while glorifying God.
