WPEO cranks up the volume
Listener support has enabled the Peoria-area Christian radio station to update its studios, offer more local programming
EAST PEORIA—The generosity of listeners is making radio station The Word WPEO as strong as ever in an era of shrinking advertising dollars.
The station is saying thank you to those generous central Illinois Christians from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, with an open house. Pulled pork sandwiches will be served, with a hymn sing at 6 and a hot-air balloon glow around dusk. Participants also will be able to go inside a grounded balloon for photos. Face-painting and station tours will be available as well.
