Q&A with insurance agent Corey North
Corey North has been with State Farm insurance for 25 years, with several of those years serving as an agent, leading his own agency in Washington for 12 years. The Normal resident’s wife, Beth, also works for State Farm. The Norths have two children.
Corey has never been shy about sharing his Christian convictions, so we had a conversation with him about how his faith intersects with being in the insurance business.
Amen Peoria: How does your Christian faith shape the way you think about your work in insurance?
Corey North: Our mission really is to serve Christ through service to others. I think that’s evolved over time as I’ve gotten older. Very simply put, I approach each day with the goal of just being kind and humble to the people that we serve, realizing that not everything within my business is within my control, but the way I treat people is. I think being Christ-centered in that approach is how I try to balance the business with who I am.
