Peoria financial advisor builds his firm on a solid rock

PEORIA—The practice of biblically responsible investing has matured, and Jim Kreid of Solid Rock Retirement Strategies is one of its most enthusiastic proponents in the Peoria area.
Kreid even changed the name and focus of his firm a few years ago to reflect his emphasis on Jesus’ illustration of building one’s house on a solid rock in Matthew 7:24:
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
"It's been a gradual unfolding of events," he said. "It's been like walking through one door and then God opens another."
Biblically responsible investing
Kreid said he has been a financial advisor for about 40 years and a Christian believer for 45 years, but had never combined those aspects of his life until he bought the firm from a retiring partner.
