FIRM focuses on orphans' welfare in Togo
Two Peoria men work through Faithway International Rescue Ministry to help young Africans.
Two Peoria-area men are serving orphans in Africa.
Emeric Martin and Kodjo Yelou oversee Faithway International Rescue Ministry (FIRM), which supports children in Africa.
Faithway focuses on poverty-stricken Togo (the Togolese Republic), which is Yelou’s homeland.
“He is one of the greatest testimonies of what it looks like when people are faithful to God and honors what God says about caring for the orphan and the poor,” Martin said of Yelou. “Someone did that for him.”
